It's A Triple with those Secret Crafter Manga's for Grimsby Crafts

Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog
Today I ran another great class at Grimsby Crafts for our copic addicts.

We had a lovely relaxed class and two wonderful fans as the weather here today has been hot hot hot!!!!!! So hot that almost all of us were heading off for a BBQ.

In today's class I taught facial blending, tip to tip blending, different types of copics, refilling copics and replacing copic nibs

This is the Triple Easel Card that we made
The clear polymer images available at Grimsby Crafts are Secret Crafter Manga Images - the beauty of these is that the face is rather large and allows the extra room to create the facial features using the copics.  These can also be purchased in digital format by clicking on the Secret Crafter shop logo in my side bar.  The papers are also available in the shop, the pearls are but have been coloured with the copics.

Here is a close up of each image
Colours used were
G99, G94, G82 (greens) Little boy
W1, W3, W7 (warm greys) hair on both images
E53, E51, E50 (creams) on both images
RV23, RV21, RV13 (red violets) the pinks on the little girl
R27, R22 (reds) for the little boys red apple.
E11, E00, E000 (earth tones) skin for both
BG000 (blue green) for the eyes
C1 (cool grey) for the outline on both images and the little girls inner mouth.
White gel pergamano pen from Grimsby Crafts.

The distress ink used around the image is Tim Holtz Crushed Olive
The swirl was a Prima clear stamp from my stash.
The centre Sentiment is from Grimsby Crafts
The inner sentiment is by My Sentiments Exactly and from my stash.

If you are local to me and a copic addict then the next class is

24th July 1pm - 3.30pm

please do pop in or call Grimsby Crafts to book your place.

The techniques being taught on the next class are

Embossing With the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge DT

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Now today brings the last challenge of the month at the

which means that this is your last chance this month to be included in the draw for our monthly prize.

The Stamping Boutique have very kindly offered 5 digis of choice for the winner.

So the theme this week has been set by our very talented Teamie Beate, she has chosen

Embossing

So here is what I created for my design team inspirational piece
I decided to go white on white and used my doily punch, and several of my embossing folders.  I used some Marianne dies for the swirls, made the flower from my punches but embossed the paper first.  I then used a geo die to create the raised flower bed, such a great die, so pleased I treated myself :).  The pearl in the middle is a large brad .  I added a couple of smaller pearls too on the swirls.

The dies and embossing folders are available at the secret crafter shop here

Now don't forget to hop over and take a look at the rest of the design team inspirational pieces.

I would like to welcome all my new followers and thank each and everyone of them for their lovely comments, and thank you to all my visitors for taking the time to leave such inspirational comments, love each and everyone of them.

Don't forget I have candy on offer here if you are interested

I am entering this creation into the following challenges
Paper Pretties - White on White

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Winter Wonderland and Pretty In Pink with Kenny K's Xmas Girls

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today Team Marianne are in the hot seat at the

and the very talented Denise has set the theme of

Pretty In Pink

As you know I just have to maintain my one Xmas card each week so here is what I came up with as a little inspiration to those of you who have maybe not yet started on your Christmas card collections.
wow did I enjoy this theme, I have used black as the contrasting colour and some gorgeous papers available from the Secret Crafter.  The image is easily recognisable one of the hot girls from Kenny K's fabulous collection.  I matched the inside of the card to the front of it.
I used one of my new round the page MS punches to create a base frame for the image and added swirls of spun sugar distress ink to the frame. Adding some gorgeous baby pink pearls to the top and bottom of the image plate and this gorgeous Wild Orchid flower, with some embossed holly leaves to finish and a little Xmas glitter.  The sentiment is from My Sentiment Exactly.
The image has been coloured in with copics and I have used liquid appliqué to give the fluffy bits that extra depth.  As it was wet I added some glitter so it sparkles too.

Don't forget to pop over and see the design team inspirational pieces.

Don't forget I have Candy here

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenge
Creative Craft World - C5 Christmas in June

I would like to say hello to my new followers and thank you to my wonderful visitors for all the inspirational comments you leave, love and appreciate each and every one of them.

Did I have the Blues?????

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
This is a card I started for a DT piece, however I was not feeling in my head 100% and therefore what was created really did not do a DT piece justice, so I created another piece in stead.

I decided to try out a totally blue and white card, don't think this image was the best thing for it, as a blue little hedgie did not quite look right to me, you may thing differently but you know when you get that No! it just does not look right, well this is one of those creations.

It is a Birth of a Little Boy card
The base layer is a deep blue card as is the contrast.  The papers are some new Prima ones I got from the Hobby House.  The flower is Wild Orchid and the pearls and little butterfly pearl are from the Hobby House too.  The lace is from Grimsby Crafts as are the Marianne die hearts.  The swirls and scrolls are Marianne dies too. All the edges have been distressed and the sentiment is from My Sentiments Exactly.
The image has been coloured in a variety of blue copic shades.

I would like to welcome my new followers and say thank you to all my wonderful visitors who leave such inspirational comments, I love them all thank you....

Let's See Your Household Item Images at the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today sees the next challenge at the

The theme this week has been set by the very talented Andi, who chose the theme of

Images Containing Household Items

now I have to admit that this one threw me for a while and I spent ages going through all my stamps and eventually I found a Kanban image that just fit the bill.

So here is what I created as my inspirational piece this week, hope you like it
The base layer and contrast is again black, think I have a thing for black at the moment.  The papers are from a Wedding Stack I got from the Hobby House and I am so sorry do not know what the name of them is.  The image is a cup of coffee, the nearest thing I had honest.  Now I am not that good at embossing with a versa-fine ink pad and embossing powders but this image just said use me............... I then added shadow using my copics and a little cream colour to shade the cup.  I added a very fine sand flower soft for the froth, well what is a cuppa with out that froth.  I used pearls and the bow from stash.

Now don't forget to hop over to see what the other fabulous design team members have created for your eye candy and talking about candy don't forget I am celebrating my 200 followers here

Christmas Flowers at the Winter Wonderland

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Today sees Team Kate inspiring you all at the

this week, and it is my week to host and I chose the theme of

Christmas Flowers
(any type of Christmas Flower)

So here is my inspiration piece for this week
I have not used this stamp in around I would say a year and it has been ages since I used these papers too, so sorry unable to remember the name of them.
The base layer is gold mirror card and the papers have been cut diagonally to leave a thin gold strip down the diagonal.  I then used my lotus flower nestie to create an image plate frame and a Marianne die to create the image plate, the sentiment on this one is WOJ.  The poinsettia's are in the papers in gold on the cream and in the addition of the Prima poinsettia which I added the little red pearls to compliment.
Here is a close up of the little mouse, dragging his Christmas tree to his home ready to decorate for Xmas.

Now don't forget to hop over and take a look at the rest of the fabulous inspiration from the rest of my team.

I would like to welcome my new followers and say thank you to the very kind visitors that take the time to leave such inspirational comments, just what a girl needs to keep her going, thank you

This one is called "Fairy Hearts"
and this was a lovely image to work with and so easy to colour up so here is what I created

I added some larger red pearls to the corners of the image plate, the image has been coloured in copics
and I added a triple bow to finish the card off.

A Present For You

Good morning to you all in the land of blog
Yesterday was not as nice as I had hoped it would be weather wise, but at least it ignored the weather forecast and did not rain, and this morning is looking good so far................................

So yesterday morning I decided to kill the Spring Clean in the Upper half of my house, this meant firstly running up and down the spiral stair case several times with all the cleaning materials and the hoover etc.  and secondly passing the Beach Hut (my craft room) several times too and not only that I had to go in the Beach Hut and not craft............................can you imagine, hoovering, cleaning, dusting and not being able to play!!!!!!! what a killer.................................

Once I had killed myself off I needed several glasses of juice to pick myself back up.............. to prepare myself for the afternoon visitor.  It was lovely to see her and her new little bump, but my is she small for 5 and a half months...................... we had a lovely chat and catch up as you do...............before I then needed to take my little girl to the vets.  Luckily the vet said the nasty lump only needed horse tablets for a week and another visit to see him in a months time, fingers crossed the tablets will do the job.

Yesterday evening I finally managed to finish off the re labelling and sorting of my copic collection..................me thinks I need a larger storage unit again, but have only just got this one, only room for I would say another 10 pens at the most and that would be pushing my luck too.

Oh my I am waffling a bit today aren't I, lets get on with it then so sorry

Here is what I created over a couple of days really and finished colouring this morning
Now when I started creating this card, I was sort of aiming for a DT card, however then spotted the Simon Says Stamp challenge and a few others so changed my mind and decided to post it......................well today is my full day of crafting so will be able to make another.  I popped into the Hobby House to replenish my collection of pearls, I do adore those pearls, but this lovely Prima paper stack also fell into the basket, it is Vintage and some gorgeous papers.............can see me using it a lot for the creations for Our Vintage Affair as they really are beautiful. I am waffling again aren't I.

So here is the front view
The base layer and contrast is a deep chocolate brown.  Those gorgeous papers like I said above, I used a Go Kreate die to create the under layer.  The lace is added to that panel and then layered onto the card.  The sentiment is slid under the lace.  Two tag nesties have been used and another paper from the stack to create the tab holders at the top, held in place by some lovely brads, also available at the Hobby House as are the flowers and the pearls.  Marianne Creatables provide the foliage behind the diamond stickles decorated flowers.

Now the ribbon, can you see that lush brown pleated ribbon, this was a treat from Loretta, isn't it to die for, must find me a stockist of this.  I added a little pearl on its end pleat, I still have  a little left for another project too.

I would like to welcome my new followers and say thank you for the wonderful comments that some of my visitors leave, I love them all they are so inspirational

I am entering this card into the following challenges

A Vase Holder for All Seasons................................

Good afternoon to you all in the land of blog
Well have I had a fabulous first day off on my week off from work :)

I decided to get down and dirty in the Beach Hut today, and started off by locating an item that I could alter.  Then found the very large bucket of gesso and some sand coloured paint.  Then I decided to do a year in one day...........................sounds odd I know but you will see below.  I apologise that you may wish to get yourself a cuppa now as this post is going to be photo heavy.

So I found a Vase Holder and decided to create four different sides, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter

Here are a couple of photographs showing two sides a corner sort of view
This is Spring and Winter
This is Autumn and Summer

I started with Summer
I used some lovely flowery papers and created a frame from an around the page punch.  The Sunshine sentiment is from a House Mouse stamp kit.  I added some liquid pearls and draped the lace around the frame, allowing Tilda to just sit on the frame with the lace passing her bottom. The large butterfly with those gorgeous wings was originally a hand bag charm that broke, I added other butterflies and flowers to keep it company.
I then did Winter. The cool blues and white along with some sparkly pull ribbon and white flowers with just a sprinkling of silver glitter and the stars are from a 60th Birthday cake and a couple of snowflakes to finish it off.  I used the sketch from Just magnolia on this one and made sure that it had flowers galore too.
Autumn was next with the pale blues, browns and greens with the red cherries, berries and the applies in her altered basket to fit in with the Simon Says challenge.  The red ribbon is threaded in an out of the nestie frame and she has some fern in with her apples.
Finally Spring, I just had to use yellow, and I am a little short of Maggie images so removed the hearts on this one and used bubbles instead.  The fluff for chicks, the little rabbit and the lovely daffodil flowers with a couple of pins just to finish it off. The papers on this one are Papermania. The sentiment computer generated and hand cut.

All edges have been distressed or torn some have been distressed with Tim Holtz Old Paper.

I really enjoyed creating this piece it took me all day on and off.  The images are all coloured with copics.

I would like to welcome my new followers and thank my wonderful visitors.

I would like to enter this creation into the following challenges
Just Magnolia - Sketch and flowers Galore
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp - Lets Get Fruity
Tag It On Challenge - Winged Things
Totally Tilda - Red White and Blue
TOMIC - White Pink and Brown
Catch The Bug - Pearls and Lace
Colour Me Copic - Brunettes
Mad for Markers - Brown Hair Challenge

Phew........... I can now go and wash my mucky hands and go back to the re labelling and colour coding of my copics

Hugs and enjoy your evening
Kate xx
